Devorah Jacoby

Devorah Jacoby is an abstract/figurative painter. Her sources of inspiration are her own life experiences, nature and the objects of everyday life that surround her. Color, texture and patterns also fascinate her and are a characteristic theme that is frequently present in her work.

Ms. Jacoby feels that painting has enabled her to reflect upon her environment with a sensitive perspective and uses the oil paint's rich fullness, versatility and body to help with her vision. Before exploring art, Ms. Jacoby worked for many years as a licensed psychotherapist. She now uses this strong psychological background as a foundation for her art.

Ms. Jacoby's work has been featured in many shows and is well represented in private collections.
